Your appointment

However you choose to contact us, we may offer you a consultation:

  • by phone
  • face to face at the surgery

Appointments by phone can be more flexible and often means you get help sooner.

Please ensure your telephone number accepts "No Caller ID" calls as some of our GP's and clinician's call from their own work phones. This sometimes can be the cause to many missed appointments.

  • if you would prefer to consult with the doctor or nurse by phone, face-to-face, by video call or by text or email

Home visits

Whilst we encourage our patients to come to the surgery, where we have the proper equipment and facilities available, we do appreciate this is not always possible. In this respect, if you do need a home visit, you can help us by calling reception before 10:00am.

You may only request a home visit if you are housebound or are too ill to visit the practice. A clinician will only visit you at home if they think that your medical condition requires it and will also decide how urgently a visit is needed. Our GP's may triage (telephone) you before making a home visit or pass onto another healthcare provider if the GP feels you need treatment and they are unable to get to you within a reasonable time. Please bear this in mind and be prepared to provide suitable details to enable the doctor to schedule house calls.

Patient Responsibilities

  • Patients should attend their appointments at the arranged time. If the person is running late or can no longer attend, they should inform the surgery as soon as possible.
  • Patients should be aware that our car park is only very small and can get extremely busy so leaving early for your appointment is essential to ensure you find parking and checking in before your appointment time.
  • We expect that patients will understand that appointments are for one person only. Additional appointments should be made for more than one person
  • Requests for help and advice for non-urgent matters should be made during surgery hours only.
  • Many problems can be solved by advice alone and patients should not always expect a prescription.
