Welcome to Groby Surgery
Please see our Notice Board for the latest update regarding the Coronavirus
If you need to see a doctor at the surgery, due to the current situation , we are only offering telephone consultations. Following your consultation, if a doctor needs to see you face2face, they will assess you for COVID before offering you an appointment to come to the surgery at a time when there will be no other patients. There is limited access to the surgery but we do have information on our front door for our patients.
TO HELP PREVENT THE SPREAD OF CORONAVIRUS PLEASE WEAR A FACE COVERING WHEN ATTENDING THE PRACTICE
Please DO NOT contact the surgery or 111 to enquire about the Coronavirus Vaccine. This is being rolled out in waves and as soon as it is your turn the surgery will contact you direct to arrange an appointment for you. See further information by clicking on the link here To make contacting you easier, please ensure the surgery has up to date contact details.
COVID Vaccination Update
We are currently vaccinating the first six cohorts of patients. Please do not call the surgery if you haven’t been invited yet as the surgery will contact you when you become eligible and we receive further vaccines.
For patients that have had their first vaccination please note that when you are called for the second vaccination this will be administered at the site of your first vaccine - Thankyou
Change in Partnership
Dr Chotai and Dr Trayner hold the NHS contact for General Medical Services (GMS) at Groby Surgery with NHS England.
Dr Gajebasia and Dr Ghag are currently seeing patients at the surgery on a locum basis before they move onto pastures new. In the future you will be able to see new clinical staff in a variety of new roles, which you, our patients will benefit from. Watch this space for updates coming soon.
Dr Chotai, Dr Trayner and all the staff at Groby Surgery wish Dr Gajebasia and Dr Ghag the very best in their new ventures and would like to thank them for the care they have given to our patients whilst they held the GMS contract, and also for their continuing support during this transition period.
Named Accountable GP: Practices are required to provide all their patients with Named Accountable GP who is responsible for their overall care. Our named accountable GP's are Dr Nainesh Chotai (male) and Dr Justin Trayner (male). This does not prevent you from seeing any GP in the practice as you currently do. If you wish to know who your named accountable GP is, please speak with Reception team. Thank you.
With patients' needs at the heart of everything we do, our website has been designed to make it easy for you to gain instant access to the information you need. As well as specific practice details such as opening hours and how to register, you’ll find a wealth of useful pages covering a wide range of health issues along with links to other relevant medical organisations.
