The practice nurse is available for the following: 

  • Asthma, diabetes and general health checks
  • Removal of sutures
  • Wound dressings
  • Travel advice and vaccinations 
  • Diet and exercise advice
  • Well women/well man health checks
  • Post-natal care
  • Cervical smears
  • Sexual health advice and screening
  • COPD clinic
  • B12 jnjections
  • Zoladex injections
  • Hypertension clinic
  • Family planning and contraception
  • Flu vaccinations
  • Cardiovascular disease monitoring
  • Smoking cessation
  • INR/warfarin clinic 
  • Childhood immunisation clinics: Held on the 1st & 3rd Wednesday of each month between 14.30 and 17:00. If your appointment is inconvenient please contact the surgery and we can arrange an alternative. 

Child Health Surveillance 

This is provided by the doctor and health visitor for development checks and are offered to all children. 

Emergency Contraception 

The morning after pill is available on request during surgery hours and also available to purchase from the chemist.

Midwife / Postnatal 

The practice is allocated a midwife, and appointments can be made on a Tuesday 9:15 - 11:45. Please contact the surgery to make an appointment.

Post-natal appointments are available with the doctor, a chaperone is available if required.
